In support of emergency preparedness activities in the National Capital Region (NCR), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), and Applied Research Associates (ARA) have provided advanced modeling, technical assessments, briefings, and reports to inform Federal, state, and local response and recovery planning activities. National Capital Region Key Response Planning Factors for the Aftermath of Nuclear Terrorism, along with the response capability requirements and gaps collected during related workshops, provide the analytic framework for sound Federal, state, local, and private sector nuclear terrorism response planning.
